Exposing your skin to the sun over time can lead to a number of problems, including premature wrinkling and age spots. It can also cause actinic keratosis (AK), skin lesions that develop from a chemical reaction in the skin. Over time, the build-up of the sun’s rays changes the size, shape, and structure of the cells that make up the outer layer of the skin. Sometimes the damage goes deeper to the inner layers of the skin, which can cause more serious forms of skin cancer.

Pink Slime is the leftover parts of beef that are deemed unworthy to be used in normal meat. In order to prepare these trimmings for human consumption, the meat is processed in factories. The meat is first heated to separate the muscle and fat, then spun to separate even more. Finally, the meat is sprayed with ammonia, which is used to kill bacteria in the meat. The meat is then dyed pink, frozen, and packed into bricks ready to be shipped. The substance is mainly used as a kind of filler in meat products to bring down the cost.
